I started with a SD2200d, have found plenty of gold with it, small & large, payed it off many times!!! A must have with the SD is an audio booster as the volume is terrible. I would go the SD they just have the runs on the board, but you will need to be aware you are following more sensitive detectors so smart detecting is a must. cheers Lee

The 2200D was never a fine gold machine. The Gold Monster will give a clear response on very small pieces of gold the SD2200D can't signal on even rubbing the target on the coil. On solid sluggy gold, it can go deep. It had an excellent auto tracking, perfect for using DD coils in noisy ground.

Hi As a new user, could anyone tell me if the coil I have fitted to the SD2200D is in fact a DD coil. It was sold to me as original, and came with the other 11 inch coil which is definitely marked as a mono coil. The coil in question is marked as minelab SD series,super goldsearch. Just does not mention being DD. Any thoughts.
